The biggest cricketing league is about to begin and fans have waited year long to see their stars performing on the biggest stage. But injuries are something that has been part of the sports and can make any team look off balance, it affects the team's plan both on and off the field.
Also with the world cup approaching, the national sides will also like their players to find form and have enough rest to be fully fit for the event.
There are some key players likely to miss IPL due to injuries and other reasons, let's take a look at who they are and the impact on their respective franchises.

Kyle Jamieson
Brought by CSK for 1 Cr in an auction recently but they will not be able to take his services, at least for this edition of IPL. He will undergo Surgery for a Back Stress fracture, which will impact his game for 3-4 months, and will only return back around August this year. CSK will soon name his replacement.

Joshua Little
The pacer from Ireland was bought for a whopping 4.40 Cr by Gujarat Titans in the IPL auction this year. He has been a consistent performer for his team, which made teams spend big, but luck has its own plans for him and he will be out for at least some matches if not the entire season of IPL this year.

Prasidh Krishna
The Indian pacer has done well with the ball in IPL he has 49 wickets to his name in 51 matches. Last year's performance was a big positive for Rajasthan Royals to gain some confidence in their pacers, but his spinal stress fracture which requires Surgery will keep RR from having his services for this edition of IPL.

Jasprit Bumrah
There were certain reports claiming the comeback of the 'Yorker King' to the IPL and the terrifying scenario with the batters facing Jofra Archer from one end and Bumrah from the other, But someone's prayers have been listened to, and Jasprit will not be part of MI for this season. His replacement is officially not announced yet but there are speculations around Sandeep Sharma.

Rishabh Pant
We have heard about Pant being injured in a car accident while returning home. Everyone around the world was in shock by the incident and unfortunately, he will not be available for the IPL and he will also miss the ongoing BGT as well. He is likely to be fit by the end of this year but DC and all cricketing fans need to pray for his wellness and he may soon be back to the place he belongs.
