Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, also known as Bagheshwar Dham Sarkar, was born in 1996 on 4 July, in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh. He follows Hindu religion. He did his schooling at a government-run school and then his degree from BA (Bachelor of Arts). His family consists of his father, Ram Kripal Garg, his mother, Saroj Garg, and his sister. He belongs to a poor family and has seen the worst situation of poverty in his early phases of life where he also used to beg and narrate Ramcharitmanas and Satya Narayan Katha in villages and used to earn from this only and fed his stomach.
He acts as the narrator of different religious stories (kathas) and also tells people about their past present and future. He is also referred by the Bagheshwar Dham Sarkar as there he is serving as a peethadhishwar, and chief of the same. He organizes a public darbar for all his followers where he cures their physical and mental issues, he also tells them various certain solutions for their economic and social problems. He also arranges free food and other servings for his followers and also arranges marriages for the poor and needy girls and supports their families.
But nowadays he is very much in controversy and is seen in news headlines and newspapers. Flared earlier this month in Nagpur, where he was hosting a "Ramkatha darbar," when the "Andhashraddha Nirmoolan Samiti" led by Prof. Shyam Manav accused him of promoting superstitions there. Since then, he is facing so many allegations for one or the other thing and even for the things that he says to his followers and other people. He is also said as a person who has real spiritual powers. He promotes Hinduism and wants to make the entire nation Hindu (Hindu Rashtra).
